Acquiring further knowledge about LIPIDS and improving the methods of analysis, production, transformation and metabolism requires intensified efforts in both scientific and technological research areas. LISA Institute faces up the challenge to contribute in human health (nutrition, food safety and quality) and to consider the impact of sustainable development requirements (replacement of petrol-based products, reduction of the impact on the greenhouse effect). LISA Institute drives research projects aiming at devloping new knowledge, new technologies, products based on lipids by sharing research resources in order to improve French and European competitiveness or to address major societal needs.
A partnership and professional research team
Given the high demands of industry in terms of advanced research, the LISA Carnot institute runs its work on lipids on three main topics :
- Theme 1 : Nutrition Health and Food Safety
- Theme 2 : Health and biomolecules
- Theme 3 : Green chemistry and bioenergy
The LISA laboratories
The LISA Carnot institue brings together 12 organisations to work on the "Lipids" domain:
